CAREER AS A POKER PLAYER

Steve Zolotow, better known as "Stevie Z", "The Bald Eagle" or just "Z", began to make his presence felt on the poker circuit in 1988. During this period, Zolotow was present at the World Series of Poker table in $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha, where he ended up falling in fifth place. However, Zolotow has become increasingly present in live poker editions.

After that drop to fifth place, Zolotow would go on to win two World Series of Poker bracelets. The first of these came in the year 1995, when Zolotow participated in the $5,000 Chinese Poker edition of the World Series of Poker. At the table in question, Zolotow had to face legends like Doyle Brunson to make it to the final table. As if that wasn't enough, Zolotow still had to face Howard Lederer in his prime. However, Stevie stood his ground and managed to claim the title, along with $112,500 and his first WSOP bracelet.

The professional's second bracelet would only come in 2001. In the period in question, Zolotow did well in the US$ 3,000 Pot Limit Hold'em edition and had to face the stars: John Juanda, Tom MceVoy, Kathy Liebert, Chris Ferguson and Scotty Nguyen. Despite some excellent players at the table, Zolotow managed to stand out and secure the title of champion, along with $243,335 and his second WSOP bracelet.

After his great success at the World Series of Poker event series, Zolotow's biggest hit came in another tournament series. That said, Stevie was part of the second season of the World Poker Tour and had to face big names in the edition. In the period under review, Zolotow shared the table with Scotty Nguyen, Barry Greenstein, Daniel Negreanu and Erick Lindgren. However, Zolotow was eliminated in fourth place, but took home the jackpot of $259,684.

After that, in the year 2008, Zolotow appeared again on NBC's Poker After Dark. The professional appeared in a meeting among the six biggest highlights of the Mayfair Club. In this, a tournament was held where Zolotow ended up being eliminated in fourth place.
