Analysis of Colombia

Colombia started this competition with a 1-0 loss against Venezuela. Therefore, their chances of qualifying were slim, since they were up against Brazil in the following match. But they have beaten the Brazilians, so the group is now very balanced and all 4 teams have good chances to qualify, since they all register 1 win and 1 loss. All will be decided in this last round.

James Rodríguez and Falcao Garcia are the stars of Colombia, apart from Carlos Bacca, who is not available for this match, since he is suspended after a red card in the last match.

Although they have got the same points as Peru, Colombia needs to win, since a draw would give the advantage to Peru, due to their best goal difference.

Probable Line-up: David Ospina, Camilo Zúñiga, Pedro Franco, Jeison Murillo and Pablo Armero; Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, Carlos Sánchez, Alexander Mejía and James Rodríguez; Falcao García and Teófilo Gutiérrez

Entrenador: José Pekerman

Confirmed Lineup: D. Ospina, C. Zapata, P. Armero, S. Arias, J. Murillo, J. Rodríguez, C. Sánchez, E. Valencia, R. Falcao, J. Cuadrado, T. Gutiérrez, C. Bonilla.

Analysis of Peru

Peru started the competition with a match against Brazil. After having kept the tie throughout most of the match, they conceded a goal in the last minute and lost 2-1.

In the following round they managed to recover and have beaten Venezuela by 1-0, with a goal by Claudio Pizarro. In offense they have another great player, Paolo Guerrero, who recently went from Corinthians to Flamengo.

Peru has the advantage of being able to play for the draw, so we expect a match with a lot of marking, mostly played in midfield and with few goal opportunities, at least in the first half, since Peru has no reason to play an open match.

Probable Line-up: Gallese; Advíncula, Zambrano, Ascues and Juan Vargas; Lobatón, Ballón, Christian Cueva and Joel Sanchez; Paolo Guerrero and Claudio Pizarro

Coach: Ricardo Gareca

Confirmed Lineup: P. Gallese, C. Zambrano, L. Advíncula, C. Ascues, J. Vargas, J. Sánchez, C. Cueva, C. Lobatón, J. Ballón, P. Guerrero, C. Pizarro.
Coach: R. Gareca.

Betting suggestion:

Colombia needs to win, but they now that if they concede the first goal it will be hard to turn the score around. On the other hand, Peru may present a defensive strategy and wait for any mistakes by Colombia. Therefore, we expect a lot of marking and few goal opportunities, at least in the first half.
