Preview:
Sporting plays against Benfica at José Alvalade Stadium to the 20th fixture of the Portuguese League.
The lions arrive to this match in the 3rd position of the league with 42 points thanks to twelve victories, six draws and only one loss. Sporting is yet to loose at home this season at the League.
At the other side, Jorge Jesus's team is leading the table with 49 points, seven more than its opponent, thanks to 16 wins, one draw and two losses. Despite playing consistently at home, Benfica uses to have some problems away from home: they lost in their last trip against Paços de Ferreira by 1-0.

The head-to-head favours the visitors. In the last 15 matches, the eagles have won nine times and lost just twice.

Analysis of Sporting CP

The main threat for the Benfica defence will be Montero. The colombian forward has many qualities and socres often: he has seven goals in the league.
To assist him, Nani and Carrillo are very good. The wingers are very similar: they have speed, technique, pace and good scoring abilities.
But right now João Mário is also truly important. The young midfielder has great vision and creates a lot of spaces to his team mates.
The main problem for the coach Marco Silva is the defense, because it would be normal that the inexperient defenders show some signs of desconcentration.
In this match, Silva should present a 4-3-3 formation and will try to exploit quick tranistions thanks to his sensational wingers.

Starting Eleven: Rui Patrício; Cédric, Tobias Figueiredo, Paulo Oliveira, Jefferson; William Carvalho, Adrien e João Mário; Nani, Carrillo, Montero.

Confirmed Lineup: Rui Patrício, Paulo Oliveira, Cédric Soares, Tobias Figueiredo, Jefferson, Adrien Silva, Nani, William Carvalho, João Mário, F. Montero, A. Carrillo.
Coach: Marco Silva.

Analysis of Benfica

Jorge Jesus should play in a 4-4-2 formation with Lima and Jonas in the attack. The portugueses manager will try to conserve the possession and keep the defensive organization to avoid the power transitions of its opponent.
Their most dangerous player is Jonas. The brazilian is showing his skills and importance at Benfica's system. But Salvio is also very strong thanks to his speed, driving accuracy and finishing attributes.
But the midfield is a concern. Talisca isn't playing well and can not create or organize the offensive process of his team. And the absence of Nicolas Gaitán would be missed in that particular department of the game.
The defense has been pretty consistent with Maxi Pereira and Luisão showing all their class and experience.

Starting Eleven: Artur; Maxi Pereira, Jardel, Luisão, Eliseu; Samaris, Talisca, Ola John, Sálvio; Lima, Jonas.

Confirmed Lineup: Artur Moraes, Luisão, M. Pereira, Jardel, Eliseu, André Almeida, E. Salvio, O. John, A. Samaris, Jonas, Lima.
Coach: Jorge Jesus.

Betting suggestion:

We expect more goals at the second half of the match. This is a very important match, and both teams should enter carefully in the first 45 minutes and then take their risks at the final part of the game.
