Lazio vs Roma

Analysis of Lazio

Lazio has had an excellent season, registering 20 wins, 6 draws and 10 losses, the third best offense and the third best defence.
Their supporters have rejoiced with the Champions League access, a great conquest, especially since they have done better than strong teams like Napoli, Fiorentina, Inter Milan and AC Milan.
However, this is an extremely difficult match, against Rome, seconds in the league. Moreover, both teams are no longer fighting for the title and have already guaranteed their Champions League access. Therefore, we don’t believe they will attack much, since Lazio knows the opponent has got a strong defence and that they don’t need to win, since a draw is a good result and will guarantee their current standing.

Confirmed Lineup: F. Marchetti, S. de Vrij, D. Basta, S. Gentiletti, S. Mauri, S. Lulić, Felipe Anderson, M. Parolo, L. Biglia, M. Klose, A. Candreva.
Coach: S. Pioli.

Analysis of Roma

Rome has fought for the title throughout the season, but at a certain point it became clear that Juventus was closer to renewing the title, which meant they had to concentrate on keeping their second place and the Champions League access instead.
They are the second best defence and have only lost 5 of their 36 matches. But they exhibitions in the last rounds haven’t been so good, possibly because they lost their concentration when Juventus confirmed the title.
They are very organized tactically and usually defend well in away matches. Moreover, this is a match that doesn’t require tacking too many risks in offense, since it’s an away match in which a draw can be considered a good result.

Confirmed Lineup: M. De Sanctis, K. Manolas, V. Torosidis, M. Yanga-Mbiwa, J. Holebas, A. Florenzi, S. Kéita, D. De Rossi, R. Nainggolan, F. Totti, J. Iturbe.
Coach: R. Garcia.

Betting suggestion:

We believe both teams will block each other and fight mainly in the midfield, with few chances in both goals. The away team’s defence is excellent and should be able to stop Lazio’s attacks. There is also mutual respect and the fact that a draw is an acceptable result for both teams. Therefore, we expect Rome and Lazio to avoid taking risks in offence and to play with great organization.
