Bayern München VS Barcelona

This Tuesday, Bayern Munich and Barcelona match up at Allianz Arena, in Munich, in a second leg match for the Champions League semi-final. This is a faceoff between two teams that are undertaking great seasons. On one side we have Barcelona, the sensation of the moment, playing an attractive football and leading the Spanish League. On the other we have Bayern, still unchallenged in Germany, and also doing well in this European competition. On the first leg match, Messi’s impressive performance guaranteed Barcelona a 3-0 win.

Analysis of Bayern München

Bayern has had an impressive Bundesliga this season and have already guaranteed the title, with 5 rounds left to play. That has enabled them to concentrate on the remaining competitions, the DFB-Pokal Cup and the Champions League. However, they have been eliminated from the German cup by rivals Borussia Dortmund, and have had a disappointing performance in the first leg match against Barcelona.
On the other UCL knockout matches, the German team also didn’t win their away matches but has recovered on the second leg matches at the Allianz Arena. Against Shakhtar Donetsk, in the first knockout round, they won 7-0 after an away draw. In the next round, they lost 3-1 in the away match against FC Porto, but have won 6-1 at home. Obviously Barcelona is superior to any of these opponents, but Bayern has got a powerful offense, so they have good reasons to believe they still have a chance to qualify.

Confirmed Lineup: M. Neuer, M. Benatia, Rafinha, J. Boateng, Juan Bernat, P. Lahm, Thiago Alcântara, B. Schweinsteiger, Xabi Alonso, R. Lewandowski, T. Müller.
Coach: Guardiola.

Analysis of Barcelona

After a slow season beginning, in which Barcelona won most of the times but did not get the most out of players like Messi, Neymar y Suarez, this trio has slowly improved and is now operating at full speed, at which they are unstoppable. So much that Barcelona has won 9 consecutive matches for the Champions League, and has also ended four of them without conceding any goals. At this point they wish to maintain this positive moment and reach yet another UCL final.
Barcelona has overcome strong opponents in this knockout stage but has dominated all matches. First there was Manchester City, in the first round, and then PSG, in the next. In this round it seemed they were going to find it more difficult, but once again they have dominated the match and created many goal opportunities.

Confirmed Lineup: M. ter Stegen, Piqué, Dani Alves, J. Mascherano, Jordi Alba, I. Rakitić, Sergio Busquets, Iniesta, L. Suárez, L. Messi, Neymar.
Coach: Luis Enrique.

Betting suggestion:

On the one hand we have Bayern, that needs to score soon to have a shoot of reaching the final, and on the other we have Barcelona, that is likely to take advantage of any opportunities to score and end Bayern’s dreams. Therefore, we believe both teams are likely to score.
