Analysis of Joinville

Joinville is still in the last position of the league, so it’s clear they have had problems facing the strongest Brazilian teams. They seem fitter to play at the B Series, and in fact they have been in this second division for a while.
They have a record of 2 wins, 2 draws and 9 losses. They are the second worst offense of the league, with only 6 goals scored in 13 matches. Their situation is so negative that even in home matches they have only won 1 of their 6 matches.
They have been unable to score in 4 of the last 5 matches. Moreover, they have lost the last 2 home matches and have scored no goals. Therefore, they haven’t been able to improve. But they need to do that soon, or relegation will become inevitable.
Probable Line-up: Agenor; Mário Sérgio, Guti, Douglas Silva, Diego; Fabrício, Anselmo, Marcelo Costa, Lucas Crispim; Marion, Kempes

Coach: Adílson Batista

Confirmed Lineup: Agenor, Guti, Dankler, Douglas Silva, Diego, Naldo, Fabrício, Lucas Crispim, Anselmo, Marion, Kempes.
Coach: Paulo César Gusmão.

Analysis of Ponte Preta

Ponte Preta has been the best surprise of the league for many rounds, showing a lot of quality in the midfield. They had great ball possession and were offensively very strong.
But the team has lost important players and the team has lost strength. They didn’t lose any matches up to the 7th round. But in the last 4 rounds they weren’t able to win and didn’t score any goals.
It’s important to notice that the most affected sector was their midfield. They aren’t as well organized now and are far from having the same quality as in the first rounds. Nevertheless they do have enough arguments to play a good match, since the opponent is a modest team.

Probable Line-up: Marcelo Lomba; Rodinei, Renato Chaves, Pablo, Gilson; Fernando Bob, Juninho, Renato Cajá; Felipe Azevedo, Biro Biro, Diego Oliveira.

Coach: Guto Ferreira

Confirmed Lineup: Marcelo Lomba, Renato Chaves, Rodinei, Pablo, Gilson, Felipe, Fernando Bob, Josimar, Diego Oliveira, Felipe Azevedo, Biro Biro.
Coach: Felipe Moreira.

Betting suggestion:

Joinville hasn’t presented much offensive quality so far in the competition. Even in home matches they have had problems. Ponte Preta has also had defensive problems and lost important players, so they aren’t as strong as in the beginning of the league. Therefore we expect a balanced match between two teams with great will to win, but not much quality, so there won’t be many goal opportunities.
