Analysis of Lanús

After a good Torneo de Transición, in which they held on in the first positions until near the end, when they lost momentum and finished 3rd, Lanús started the season in good shape and didn’t lose any of the first 6 matches. They seemed ready for a great season, but after this good start they didn’t win any of the following 7 matches. Therefore, they are now 16th in the league.

Defensively they started off well in the league, particularly in home matches, in which they didn’t concede goals in the first 3 matches. However, their offence has not performed at the same level and only scored in half of the home matches. In the middle of last week, they qualified for the next round of the Argentinean Cup, after a 2-0 home win over Atlético Tucuman. They now wish to take advantage of that motivation to win this match.

Confirmed Lineup: F. Monetti, G. Gómez, C. Araujo, D. Barisone, N. Pasquini, J. Ortiz, M. Fritzler, V. Ayala, L. Melano, O. Benítez, L. Acosta.
Coach: J. Almirón.

Analysis of Olimpo

Unlike their rivals in this match, Tigre has had a terrible Torneo de Transición and where the second to last offence of the event. This year, they face the same problem and are the worst offence of the league with only 5 goals scored so far. In the last 9 matches, they have only scored against Huracán, however, they also haven’t lost in the last 3 rounds, so they now wish to remain undefeated for a while longer.

Their only away goal was in the first round, against Boca, in a 3-1 loss. After 6 matches with no goals scored in away matches, Tigre finally managed to score in an away match, against Huracán and eventually won 3-1. Therefore, their goal now is to get another win.

Confirmed Lineup: N. Champagne, I. Furios, J. Sills, N. Moiraghi, J. Quiroga, J. Mansilla, H. Encina, J. Amoroso, J. Cobo, J. Blanco, G. Klusener.
Coach: D. Osella.

Betting suggestion:

Lanús has got a stronger team, more technical quality and the home advantage, so we believe the most likely scenario for this match is that the home team will win.
