The player was born in California, Santa Catarina, USA on January 15, 1969. However, Huckleberry Seed grew up in Corvallis, Montana. Better known as Huck Seed, the player is a poker professional who became extremely well known in the world of cards in 1996 when he won the Main Event title at the World Series of Poker.

Life

During his youth, Huck Seed grew up in Corvallis, Montana. During this time, Seed attended Corvallis High School, and was on the Montana All-State basketball team in 1987.
 
In addition, Seed also studied Electrical Engineering at the California Institute of Technology, and was a member of the Flaming House. After that period, Seed took his license and ventured out to the poker tables in 1989, and did not return to college. However, it is worth mentioning that Seed was the star of the Caltech basketball team and appeared in the documentary Quantum Hoops.

Poker journey

Seed started playing at the poker tables under the name "HuckleberrySeed" on Full Tilt Poker. However, the player gained his notoriety by participating in the 1994 World Series of Poker. In the edition in question, Seed was present at the table of the US$ 2,500 Pot Limit Omaha and managed to win the title of champion, pocketing the amount of US$ 167,000.
 
After two years out of the World Series of Poker spotlight, Seed returned to the WSOP aiming to participate in the series' most notorious event. In the episode in question, Huck Seed was a participant in the iconic edition of the $10,000 No Limit Hold'em World Championship, amidst so many legendary poker players. After reaching the decision, Huck Seed became one of the World Championship and took in the amount of one million dollars for the title, and his second bracelet from the World Series of Poker.
 
It's worth mentioning that in 1999, Seed returned for yet another WSOP Main Event. That year, Seed had to face players like Noel Furlong, but ended up being eliminated in sixth place in the championship.
 
However, the turn of the millennium was satisfactory for the player, who returned to the WSOP in 2000. In the year under review, Huck did well at the $1,500 Razz table and managed to win his third bracelet, pocketing the sum of $77,400.
 
After three years of "vacation" from the series of poker events, Seed took the opportunity to participate in the 2003 edition of the US$5,000 Razz of the World Series of Poker. At the time, the American managed to win the title of champion and pocket the amount of US$ 71,500, taking his fourth bracelet home.
 
It's worth mentioning that in 2007, Seed participated in the Main Event of the year. However, on that occasion the player ended up having a difficult performance when facing 6,358 players, and ended up being eliminated in 73rd place.
 
Despite this, in 2010 Seed participated in another major World Series event. The event in question was the World Series of Poker Tournament of Champions free roll, where the player pocketed the sum of US$500,000.
 
Having seen his journey, in the year 2020 Huck Seed received his full honor. After getting 76 votes, Seed was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.

According to data collected in the year 2021, the fortune of Huck Seed already surpassed the US$ 7 million mark. However, it's worth mentioning that around $3,653,465 was won from World Series of Poker events alone. It's also worth mentioning that Seed is still in business and his fortune may have reached $8 million.
