After reports from the ESL itself, Heroic organization suspended Hunden. The coach Nicolai “Hunden” Petersen was already suspended from ESL after having used a bug on CS:GO in two official matches. The punishment for the coach was one year. The mentioned bug allowed the coach to stay as a spectator in a match and share information about the position of the enemy team.

After so much repercussion on the case, the Heroic organization suspended Hunden from its position. Besides, the 29 year old Dana admitted that he used this bug in 10 rounds against Astralis team in the DreamHack Masters Spring tournament. After that, the coach admitted having used the bug on the match against Spirit in the Home Sweet Home cup

“CS:GO at the top level is super competitive and I saw an edge which I knew was wrong, but I took it and used the bug in-game” stated Hunden. Adding, the coach stated he acted without sharing the information with his teammates - "without the knowledge of my teammates".

After this event, the coach stated he felt remorse for his actions and warned the referee, Michau Slowinski, explaining how the bug worked. “I knew it would have professional and personal ramifications for me.”

“I am sorry for letting down Heroic, my family and all of our fans. I only want the best for the Counter Strike community, and my actions during these two games are something that are not part of the community I want and love.”

Heroic team now faces a phase where they find themselves with no coach to guide them on the rest of their matches.

Below, follow Hunden complete statement:

“The recent allegations made against me are true. I take full responsibility for my actions during the Dreamhack Masters tournament and the HomeSweetHomeCup 5. CS:GO at the top level is super competitive and I saw an edge which I knew was wrong, but I took it and used the bug in-game. I acted on my own, without the knowledge of my teammates.

"I felt remorse for my decision, and I still do, but realised that I could never take back my actions. Therefore I decided to contact Michau Slowinski, the ESL Admin, to explain the bug that was a part of the game at the time. I knew it would have professional and personal ramifications for me.

"I am sorry for letting down Heroic, my family and all of our fans. I only want the best for the Counter Strike community, and my actions during these two games are something that are not part of the community I want and love.

"I accept my punishment but have hope you will welcome me back to the stage one day.

"My sincerest apologies, HUNDEN.”
